wInner Pocket is a series of applications that use Pocket PC enabled devices such as Compaq Ipaq, HP Jornada, Fujitsu-Siemens Loox etc.
The first application released will be Point Of Sales wireless order systems.
Planet wInner also looks to implement Housekeeping applications, or remote check-in or check-out facilities.

wInner Pocket POS.
wInner Pocket POS delivers the wInner standard POS application to the handheld computers. A special version of the POS product was created for use on pocket PC enabled devices. Benefits are:

• Portable Handheld devices for POS order taking.
• Uses wireless LAN technology.
• Pocket POS has the same functionality as the POS terminal.
• No need for extra training since the application works the same way as the terminal.

Using Windows Terminal services, the POS application is brought to the handheld device without any need for software deployment or installation on the pocket device. It is sufficient to configure the device to use and join a wireless LAN in order to use the Pocket POS application. The application itself runs on the server, and can be controlled by the manager.

The Terminal Services platform also provides for remote control of the handheld devices. At any time the manager can log-onto the server and view what waiters are doing on the handheld devices. It is even possible to take control of a handheld device.
