A System that fits your needs.
wInner® feels at home on the larger and
the smaller system configurations:
‘Stand-Alone’ or small configuration.

wInner® can be installed on a single PC configuration. This same PC can
also be used to run your favourite Windows® applications such as Word or
Excell etc. This way, you can make maximum use of your hardware investment
by combining the full Property Management functionality and your office
requirements on one single PC. The perfect solution for the smaller
business.
Workgroup’ or mid-sized configuration.

In case one PC is insufficient to run your business and you want to
keep the hardware investment to a minimum, the workgroup solution will fit
your needs. This configuration uses the Windows® network features to
connect PC’s directly to each other without the need of a network server.
The only requirement is a network card, cables and a network HUB. wInner®
can be implemented on maximum 3 PC’s in a workgroup environment. As of a 4
PC configuration, a network server is required.
‘Network’ or large configuration.

wInner® can also be installed in a network with a central server. The
server is typically a Windows-2000 or Windows-NT server. Windows-2000 is
preferred. These operating systems provide a rich networking and security
functionality and allow you to use the workstations to their maximum
capacity.
Database platform.
wInner® is developed using Microsoft’s open database technology. This
means that theoretically wInner® can use any database management system.
We have however validated 2 solutions for use with wInner:
- the Access database format (mdb); this
solution is used for the small to mid-sized properties (up to 300
rooms). The main advantage of this system is that it requires a smaller
investment in hardware and server software.
- Microsoft SQL server, for the larger
properties; as of 300 rooms. Using Microsoft SQL server, you will need a
professional dedicated file server with the necessary redundancies
built-in; RAID disks, redundant power-supply, and on-line backup
facilities.
Modular System.
Today’s larger property management systems are very rich in features
and functionality. wInner® uses an approach of scalability. wInner®
consists out of a standard-package that includes all important system
functions a modern-day hotel requires. In addition to the standard system,
a variety of add-on modules exist, that can be installed according to the
needs of your operation. This way you define your wInner® system as you
want to have it. You pay only for what you choose, and you will not pay
for functionality that will never be used. This approach allows us to
create new modules according to the ever changing and growing needs of the
hotel business, and the IT evolution.
Multi-Lingual.
wInner® is designed to work in a multi-lingual environment, and can
thus be used in various languages. The language definition is set on a
user code level. For each user created in the system a parameter defines
the language for this user. Upon sign-in, the wInner® software will load
in the user-preferred language. All screens and reports will appear and be
printed in this language. When another user, with a different language
preference launches the software, the screens and reports will change to
his or her language.
Information at your fingertips.
Windows® software requires the use of a mouse. Especially in a hotel
environment at reception or in restaurants where people operate the
computers standing up, the use of a mouse is not favourable. Also the use
of a keyboard is cumbersome in Windows with difficult key combinations
such as ALT-... ALT-SHIFT-... TAB keys etc. During the design of the
wInner® product we gave thought to this inconvenience. Therefore all
wInner products are designed for optimal use with a touch screen,
eliminating the need for a mouse. The touch screen is optional. The
software can work both with the mouse and/or touch screen.
Flexibility.
wInner© is an extremely flexible system that adapts to the needs of
your business, not the other way around where your business has to adapt
to the system. A vast utility program makes it possible to define and
change room types, room numbers, rates, market codes, mailing lists,
source of business codes, minimum stay information travel agent parameters
and many, many more.
The wInner© software has some very
powerful tools such as the ‘screen painter’. This utility allows you to
define the content and layout of the screens if required (wInner© comes
with a standard set of complete screens). It is also possible to add
fields to the database, and assign them to the screens and reports.
wInner® also has an (optional) report
generator. This tool allows to create custom reports using the wInner®
database. Upon request we can make custom reports in a minimum timeframe.
wInner® comes with a standard set of complete screens and reports which
will fit the need of most hotels, however you are never limited to these.
