What is the wInner Fastbooking Interface?
Planet wInner has developed an interface with the FastBooking reservations system. This interface makes it possible to link your hotel system to your Internet Reservations system. Reservations made via the FastBooking engine on YOUR web site, are automatically updated in your wInner system. This means your reservations department can see and retrieve reservations made via your web site. The Interface can automatically update the room inventory that is visible on your web site. Changes to the local inventory are sent to FastBooking thus synchronising the rooms available.

Functions offered by this interface:

  • Reservations received via FastBooking are automatically updated in wInner.

  • Inventory changes or updates are automatically updated in Fastbooking.

  • A confirmation from the wInner system can be sent to the customer.

  • An e-mail message can be sent to the reservations department each time a reservation is received (for control 
    purposes).

  • Internet reservations can be tracked via an additional confirmation number.

  • Statistical reporting is available for all reservations made via FastBooking.

How does it work?

1)    The customer enters the Hotel’s web site and clicks the reservations button.

2)    A new window appears with the reservation engine. The customer makes an on-line reservation verifying the inventory and rates available in FastBooking.

3)    Once the reservation is confirmed in Fastbooking, it is sent to the wInner system using a structured e-mail message.
The wInner system automatically picks-up this message and makes a reservation in the local wInner system.

4)    Fastbooking sends a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address of the customer. Optionally, wInner can also send a confirmation to the customer.

What do you need:

The wInner – FastBooking interface works by using structured e-mail message exchange. Therefore following elements are required for a successful implementation:

  • An Internet connection. By preference an online connection (ADSL or Cable). A Dial-up connection is possible however this may have an impact on the frequency of receiving reservations, and as a result, inventory which is not synchronised.  

  • A Web-site. The FastBooking reservations system is installed on your existing web-site. This is done in the form of a hyperlink or a button which will open the reservations system in a seperate window when clicked.

  • A machine on which the Interface will run. This should be the server machine.

  • The hotel needs to have a dedicated e-mail account that is reserved for use by the Interface program.

  • Microsoft Outlook needs to be installed on the server that will run the interface. MS-Outlook has to be started up at all times.

  • MS-Outlook has to be configured to use the e-mail account which FastBooking uses to send the structured messages to.

  • MS-Outlook has to be configured to retrieve the e-mail on a frequent basis.
